Rhapsody Of Realities (Tuesday, June 6th 2017)

The Love-Way Pastor Chris  Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God (1 John 4:7). The greatest power in the world is love. The love-way is the right way. Jesus didn’t get offended at those who abused and tortured Him; rather He said, “…Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do…” (Luke 23:34). So, why would a Christian get so offended by someone who said something against him and say, “In the Name of Jesus Christ, I command their house to burn; I command fire upon their heads”; that’s unwise.

_Rhapsody of Realities_ *Your Evidence* Monday, January 2nd. _Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD_ *Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see…(Hebrews 11:1 AMP).* In essence, the above definition of faith means that you know something you’ve hoped for is real, though it’s not visible in the physical realm. Faith isn’t just an idea or an opinion; it’s a substance, the evidence of unseen realities. Have you ever seen a snake’s tracks? Being a creature without limbs, a snake

See Good Things Happening For You .  Saturday, December 31st . Pastor Chris The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage (Psalm 16:6). In Jeremiah 29:11 GNB, the Lord said something so beautiful; it reads, “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.” How comforting and uplifting this is! As you look to the coming year, be optimistic, full of faith

Daily Devotional Guard Your Vision . Friday, December 9th . Pastor Chris Be sensible and don’t tell everything you know… (Proverbs 12:23 CEV). When you walk with the Lord, He gives you visions for your future; visions about your life, the things He wants to accomplish with you and through you. He causes you to see into the future so you can head for that future. Everybody may not see what you see, or know the future God is guiding you into. But some people try to tell everybody what God is showing them about their future. That’ll be a mistake, except if He’s the one leading you to talk about it.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **Our Responsibility In Divinity** Saturday 23rd July . Pastor Chris   That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6). Sometimes, you find Christians who, out of ignorance, always pray and hope that God will do something about their situation. Such people are still functioning in the human nature,

By Pastor Chris PhD ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU'RE SPECIAL. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it (Matthew 13:45-46). There’re people who like to tell us that we’re not very special. Even sometimes in the church, there’re those who, when they’re called to give a testimony, would say, “God did such-and-such for me, not because I’m special.” But you’re special. People make such statements out of ignorance, and a seeming show of humility. You’re peculiar. You’re special to God. You’re His pearl of inestimable value. It’s not pride to acknowledge and affirm that you’re special.

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **Don’t Lag In Zeal** Sunday 8th May . Pastor Chris PhD   Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord (Romans 12:11). The Apostle Paul, in our opening verse, admonishes the Church on the right and proper attitude to maintain in serving the Lord. He says, “Don’t be slothful in business,” meaning that you shouldn’t lag in zeal, but fervent in spirit, serving the Lord. The word “fervent” as used in this context is translated from the Greek “zeó,” which means to boil with heat for liquids, and to glow with heat for solids. That means there’s a boiling in your spirit with the Word of God, and a glow on the outside. That means you’re on fire for God.

Daily Devotional  RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **Challenges Are Your Opportunities** Friday 6th May . Pastor Chris PhD   Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children...No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it (Hebrews 12:7-11 NIV). The Bible says, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him...” (2 Chronicles 16:9). That means He’s watching and looking for opportunities to manifest His glory on your behalf. He never leaves you alone. He never lets you down. He’s

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **Keep Making Progress** Monday 11th April: Pastor Chris PhD The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit (John 3:8). When you’re born again, you’re a mystery to the world, because you’re born of the Spirit. The Natural man can’t understand you. By the Spirit, David said, “I am as a wonder unto many...” (Psalm 71:7). That’s what God has made everyone that’s born of the Spirit. However, some Christians don’t know this; so, they live ordinary lives. You’re not ordinary; you’re not of this world. You belong in, and function from, a different realm: the realm of the Spirit.

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **He’s Our Mercy Seat** Friday 8th April: Pastor Chris PhD Being justified (declared righteous) freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God (Romans 3:24-25). Due to Adam’s transgression, man was separated from God. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Sadly, many have only stayed on the negative part of this scripture, without taking a step further. The twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth verses have so much faith-building thoughts. Yes, all men sinned in Adam, and fell short of the glory of God, but the problem was fixed in, and by, Jesus Christ.

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **Speak Blessings To Everything Around You** Thursday 31st March: Pastor Chris PhD And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). God wants us to take His Word to the nations, and that means a lot. But you see, when He said to preach the Gospel to every creature, He wasn’t only referring to preaching to someone who doesn’t know Jesus. Preaching the Gospel to every creature means preaching to EVERYTHING that exists! Romans 8:19 says, “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” The term “creature” actually means “creation.” So, it’s saying, “The earnest expectation of the creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.” There’s depreciation in the human world, including human life; and so, everything in life is waiting for your manifestation; waiting for you to liberate them. All around the world, there’s fear. Many scien...

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **You Have A Role To Play** Tuesday 29th March: Pastor Chris PhD This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8). In life, people may find themselves in certain circumstances they weren't responsible for. Yes, others can create situations or circumstances—pleasant or unpleasant—for you, but ultimately, you have a role to play in determining the final outcome of your life. The circumstances of your birth may not have been so palatable. You may have been born into a poor home; and you had nothing to do with that. That was another person's responsibility. But don't maintain the status quo, because someone else was responsible; change things! You may have been born poor, but you weren't born to be poor. ...

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **VICTORY AND DOMINION IN CHRIST JESUS** Friday 25th March: Pastor Chris PhD My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children (Hosea 4:6). God said through the Prophet Hosea that His people are destroyed, defeated and broken because they lack knowledge. Meaning that, their bane isn’t that they lack faith or aren’t making the right effort; the reason they‘re not walking in victory and dominion is their ignorance. This, therefore, means that as God’s children, we must keep making conscious efforts to learn and be taught God’s Word. If you have more accurate knowledge of the Word, you’ll live in victory and dominion every day of your life, irrespective of any adversity.

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **WORDS ARE SPIRITUAL ELEMENTS** Monday 21st March: Pastor Chris PhD Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire... (James 3:5-6). There’s something inside your mouth that’s so powerful; it’s your tongue. It’s given to you by God to form words; words with which to control, create or recreate the circumstances of your life. James 3:6 says the tongue is a fire; the power for any change that you desire is in your tongue. Jesus said you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23). If you speak confusing words, the result is that your life will be confusing, because you’re giving confusing signals. Words are spiritual elements. They don’t die. That’s why Jesus said, “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment” (Matthew 12:36). One day, all your words will be shown to you by Go...

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **He Leads Us In Love** Friday 18th March: Pastor Chris PhD By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35). Walking in love is a primary way to tell that a Christian is being led by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit only leads us in love. He’ll never lead you in such a way as to hate anyone, be proud, arrogant or express unrestrained anger. In walking with the Lord, one of the things He seeks to accomplish in your life is to have His love fully expressed through you, such that you’re patient, meek, kind and not easily provoked. James 1:19 (GNB) says, “...Everyone must be quick to listen, but slow to speak and slow to become angry.”

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **Power In The Word** Wednesday 16th March: Pastor Chris PhD He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20). The power of God is in His Word. You receive power when you hear the Word. Our opening scripture says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Healing is a power. When the healing power of God comes to reside in you, it doesn’t matter what sickness has been in your body, that power would produce results and prevail. Matthew 8:16 says, “When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick.” You see, the Lord Jesus cast out devils with His word! There’s power in the Word.

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **Renew Your Thinking** Tuesday 15th March: Pastor Chris PhD And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:2). After you’ve given your life to Christ, you’ve got a responsibility. The Bible tells us not to be like the rest of the world. Don’t conform to the world’s standards and ways of doing things. Be different. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. That means, change your way of thinking; have a new mindset. If you want to see increased manifestation of the glory of God in your life, you must keep renewing your mind with the Word. Before you became a Christian, you heard, and spoke words from the world; words that you learnt from your friends, from school, your environment, the members of your family, etc. Sometimes they were bitter words, angry words, and harsh words. Some other times, they were...

Daily Devotional RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **Take Advantage of The Anointing** Tuesday 8th March: Pastor Chris PhD But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you...(1 John 2:27). Being born again, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is on your life. That anointing makes your life supernatural! You're different from the rest of the world. Your words have power, because you're an associate of the God-kind. When Moses stood before the Red Sea and God said to him, "Moses, stretch your hand over the water and divide it," he obeyed God and stretched his hand over the water. At that moment, he ceased to be the mere man, Moses; he was in union with divinity. Why? Because when he stretched forth his hand, the hand of God was stretched forth also. When he spoke words, they weren't the words of Moses but the words of God, for his words became anointed by the Holy Spirit.

How to Have a Great Day (Friday 4th March 2016)

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **The Authentic Christian Life ** Friday 4th March: Pastor Chris PhD You may as well know this too, Timothy, that in the last days it is going to be very difficult to be a Christian (2 Timothy 3:1 TLB). The Apostle Paul in the above text, warned of perilous times in the last days, and I want you to notice his choice of words. Notice that he didn’t say it's going to be it’s going to be impossible to be a Christian in the last days; no! Rather, he uses the word, “difficult.” Why will many find it difficult to be Christians in these last days? It’s because of the challenges they would be facing, which really, shouldn’t be a problem if they’re in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. There’s no Christianity without the Holy Spirit; the only way to live the authentic Christian life is through the Holy Spirit. Irrespective of how nice, calm, or cool one

How to Have a Great Day (Sunday 28th Feb 2016)

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES **HE BROUGHT US OUT, TO HIMSELF** Sunday 28th February: Pastor Chris PhD Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:12-13). The word translated “delivered” above is the Greek “rhuomai,” which means to pluck and bring to yourself. You know, you can pluck something and let it fall; or place it somewhere. However, it’s different when you pluck it and take it to yourself. It means to rush something out of where it is, and pull it to yourself. That’s what God did with us. He didn’t just “pluck” us out of the domain of darkness, He brought us out to Himself! He rushed you out of the power, the dominion, the control, the jurisdiction, the authority of darkness, and pulled you to Himself; to absolute safety. You’ve been delivered from the control of darkness. Darkness represe...
