Diamond Bank attains 1m Mobile App users

Mr Uzoma Dozie, the Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Bank has said the financial institution has attained a million mark for registered users of its mobile application.

Dozie made the disclosure at a news conference to “Celebrate the one millionth Diamond Mobile App’’ users in Lagos.

He said that the beauty of the mobile application was that it allowed customers to choose when to go to the bank through the application downloaded in their smartphones.

According to him, customers are concerned about the security and about the technology of the mobile application.



“We have addressed all these concerns. Diamond Mobile App is one of the secure ways to do banking,’’ he said.

Dozie said that over N1.5 million transactions were done online by the bank’s customers through the mobile app.

He added that the application saved customers and the beneficiaries’ money and time as it took less than 30 seconds to execute transactions.

The Head, Electronic Banking, Diamond Bank, Mr Robert Giles said that the bank’s mobile app was launched in 2012.

Giles said that in July 2015, the app had half a million users, while it attained a million customers in January 2016.

He said that the aim of Diamond bank through the mobile app was to move customers to modern means of banking.
