Dan Stevens and Aubrey Plaza to headline Marvel's 'Legion' on FX

The Marvel universe continues to expand withLegion, an X-Men-based television series currently filming for FX. Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens, Parks and Recreation's Aubrey Plaza and Fargo's Jean Smart just joined Rachel Keller in the cast.

Stevens plays David, a diagnosed schizophrenic whose life changes when he meets a girl. Plaza plays his friend Lenny, a drug and alcohol abuser with "the likeable energy of the impossible optimist despite her rough demeanor," according to a release. Smart plays a therapist, and Keller plays the prickly but street smart Syd.



The pilot was written by Noah Hawley (Fargo), who serves as executive producer alongside Lauren Shuler Donner, Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory — all of whom have ties to X-Men and other Marvel properties — and fellow Fargo producer John Cameron.
